Site Manager

A truly exciting opportunity for an experience Site Manager to join one of the UK’s fastest growing developers in Lincolnshire. Our client has multiple developments across numerous counties which range from single dwelling refurbishments to developments that consists of 50+ properties. 

Over the years they have built a reputation for excellent service, innovation and making a genuine difference to their clients by delivering quality homes across the county. 

We’re looking for a Site / Project Manager with previous Housebuilding/Residential Main Contractor experience. You will have an excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at different stages of value engineering, cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.

Main responsibilities for the successful Site Manager:

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the project, with the support of an assistant manager, were appropriate.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans where appropriate
  • Manage a direct team consisting of an assistant manager, forklift operator and labourer on a daily basis, establishing and communicating the methods of work to be employed in carrying out the construction operations, assisting with resources requirements and movements of operatives on the project, to deliver the safe, smooth and efficient running of the Contract. 
  • Liaise, book and manage all subcontract trades and check quality of workmanship and delivery against the pre-determined programme.
  • Snag and carry out hand over inspections of properties prior to handing to the customers in accordance with our customer care procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of processes for the continuous improvement of organisation
  • Review method statements and risk assessments that are specific to construction activities and assist in compiling the Work packs ensuring they contain all relevant information 
  • Ensure all site personnel have the correct authorisations to operate plant or receive permits and have the correct PPE and welfare facilities on site
  • Ensure Permit to Work near Existing Services documentation is clearly and correctly carried out for all ground breaking activities related to construction works
  • Ensure that accidents and incidents are promptly reported, giving accurate details established at the time of the incident. 

About the successful Site Manager:

  • Ideally a site manager with a minimum of 5 year’s experience working within the residential sector.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness with a proven track record of success
  • Highly IT literate and proficient with excel
  • Highly organised and self-motivated individual
  • Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • The ability to lead the team 
  • The ability to negotiate and attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
  • Demonstrate excellent drive, determination, and ambition to succeed  
  • Clean UK License

  • Salary up to £50000 -£60000 depending on experience
